(LEBANON, Ill., Oct. 18) – The McKendree University men's soccer team aims to defend Leemon Field this weekend as they take on Truman State at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, October 19 and then Rockhurst University at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 21 in Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) play.
The Bearcats are currently 8-4-1 overall and 6-3-1 in the GLVC. Offensively, McKendree is led by sophomore midfielder
Eddie Davis (Arundel, England/Amersham College) with 10 points through 11 games, followed by sophomore forward
James Stone (Eastbourne, England/Bede's Senior School) with seven points. Defensively, sophomore goalkeeper
Alvaro Cortazar (Asuncion, Paraguay/Santa Teresa de Jesus) has 28 saves through 10 games played.
Truman State is currently 3-6-4 overall and 1-6-3 in GLVC play after most recently falling to Bellarmine University 2-0.
The Hawks of Rockhurst Univeristy are currently 5-6-2 overall and 4-4-2 in GLVC play after most recently losing to the University of Indianapolis 2-1 last Sunday, October 14.
