(LEBANON, Ill., Oct. 27) – The women's soccer team aims to begin their journey towards a three-peat as champions of the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) tournament this Sunday against Rockhurst Univeristy. After finishing the regular season with a win over the University of Missouri-St. Louis, the Bearcats became co-GLVC regular season champions, their first GLVC regular season title in program history.
 
In the first round of the GLVC tournament, McKendree will play host to the Hawks Rockhurst this Sunday, October 28 at a noon. Offensively, the Bearcats are led by junior midfielder Madyson Mossman (St. Louis, MO/Ursuline Academy) with 10 points, followed by senior midfielder Jane Skaggs (St. Charles, MO/Duchesne) with eight. Junior Goalkeeper Zoe Brochu (Ajax, Ontario, Canada/Pickering) has accumulated an impressive 12 shutouts on the year to go along with two GLVC defensive player of the week honors this season.
 
The Hawks are seeded seventh in the GLVC tournament, and are currently 9-7-1 overall in 8-5-0 in the GLVC, most recently defeating Drury 3-1 this past Wednesday, October 24.
