(SPRINGFIELD, Ill., October 4) – The McKendree University women's soccer team is on the road this weekend as they face the University of Illinois Springfield at 5:00 p.m. this Friday, October 5, as well as Quincy University at noon on Sunday, October 7 in Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) play.
 
The Bearcats currently sit atop the GLVC rankings with an 8-1-1 overall and 4-1-1 GLVC record. Offensively, McKendree is led by junior midfielder Madyson Mossman (St. Louis, MO/Ursuline Academy) who has tallied seven points through ten games this season, followed by senior midfielder Jane Skaggs (St. Charles, MO/Duchesne) with six points. Junior goalkeeper Zoe Brochu (Ajax, Ontario, Canada/Pickering) has accumulated seven shutouts so far this year and has recorded 31 saves between the posts for the Bearcats.
 
The Prairie Stars of Illinois Springfield are currently 1-7-2 overall and 1-5 in GLVC play, most recently falling to the Knights of Bellarmine this past Sunday, September 30.
 
Quincy University is currently 5-4-1 overall and 3-2-1 in GLVC play after most recently tying the University of Indianapolis 0-0 on Sunday, September 30.
