(SPRINGFIELD, Ill., Oct 5) – The McKendree University men's soccer team dropped an overtime loss to Illinois Springfield Friday night 1-0 after the Prairie Stars scored in the 94^th minute of play. The Bearcats are now 6-3-1 overall and 4-2-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC).
 
McKendree was dead even with UIS in shots attempted,11 total shots each, and the Bearcats had one more shot on goal with four. Sophomore goalkeeper Brett Niedzwiecki (Collinsville, IL/Collinsville High School) made two saves in his season debut.
 
The men's soccer team will be back in action Sunday, October 7 at 2:30 p.m. as they take on Quincy University in Quincy, Ill.
