(QUINCY, Ill., Oct 5) – The McKendree University women's soccer team defeated the Hawks of Quincy University Sunday Afternoon 1-0. The Bearcats now sit at 10-1-1 overall and 6-1-1 in GLVC play.
The Bearcats were outshot 10 to four by Quincy, however McKendree was more efficient with their shooting as the Bearcats totaled four shots on goal to the Hawk's one. The lone and game-winning goal was scored late in the second half as junior midfielder
Kate Bixby (O'Fallon, MO/Fort Zumwalt North) was able to direct an assist from
Amanda Williams (Rochester, IL/Rochester) past the Quincy goalkeeper in the 80

Zoe Brochu (Ajax, Ontario, Canada/Pickering) made one save and recorded her ninth shutout of the season in this afternoon's win.
The women's soccer team will take the field next on Friday, October 12 at 5:00 p.m. as they travel to Rolla, MO to take on Missouri S&T in another GLVC duel.
