(LEBANON, Ill., Feb. 23) – The McKendree University women's water polo team is set for three games at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisc. this weekend. The Bearcats will take on Carthage College at 2 p.m. on Saturday followed up by a contest against Macalester College at 6 p.m. McKendree will be back in the pool for a matchup against Monmouth College on Sunday at 9 a.m.
 
The Bearcats are 2-7 overall through the first nine games of the season. This weekend McKendree will face three of the top teams in women's varsity Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III. Macalester College currently sits at No. 9 in the Division III rankings, with both Carthage and Monmouth receiving votes in the most recent rankings.
 
Freshman attacker Emily Westlove leads the Bearcats in goals and steals so far this season with 22 goals and 12 steals. Sophomore attacker Brianna Mullalley slots in behind Westlove with 13 goals and six steals. Freshman goalie Crystal Armstrong has guarded the cage for the Bearcats recording 43 saves this year.
