FINAL RESULTS
(Pittsburg, Kan., March 10) -- McKendree University track and field had a successful second and final day at the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships in Pittsburg, Kansas, with five Bearcats earning All-American honors.
Junior DeMontez McCray ran an indoor collegiate personal best time of 21.17 in the 200m, where he placed fourth overall, earning All-American First Team honors for the third year in a row. Junior Quincy McSweeney finished seventh in the 800m with a time of 2:11.25, also earning All-American First Team honors.
The women's 4x400m relay team, consisting of McSweeney, freshmen TsiTsi Mahachi and Kaylee Fann, and senior Jordyn Looman, placed in ninth with a time of 3:47.47, which was good enough to garner Second Team All-American accolades.
Host Pittsburg State took home the men's title, with the Bearcats earning five total points for a 33rd place finish, while West Texas A&M won the women's championship, with McKendree placing 53rd.
The Bearcats will begin their 2018 outdoor season on March 31 by hosting the first track and field meet at Leemon Field in Lebanon since 2013.
