(Lebanon, Ill., April. 13) – McKendree University softball dominated the Drury University Panthers on Friday, sweeping the conference series at home. The Bearcats improve to 29-12 overall on the season and 14-6 in Great Lakes Valley Conference play.
In the first game, the Bearcats used a three run fourth-inning to solidify the victory, as they blanked the Panthers 8-0 in five innings. Freshman

Rebecca Franke (Trenton, Ill./Wesclin) and senior outfielder
Abbi Liske (Ashley, Ill./Nashville) all had two RBIs for
McKendree, with Gajewski only allowing three hits in four innings pitched, improving to 16-4 on the season with the win.
The Bearcats continued their dominance in the second game, with Liske and senior first baseman
Brooke Gajewski (Kronenwetter, Wis./D.C. Everest) both homering in the 7-1 win. Sophomore shortstop
Caitlyn Lowry (St. Louis, MO/Notre Dame) had two RBIs on two hits for McKendree in the winning effort. Sophomore
Kylee Silliman (Fremont, IA/Oskaloosa) picked up the victory in the circle, giving up just the single run in five innings pitched.
The Bearcats will host the Rockhurst University Hawks tomorrow in a doubleheader at 2 pm and 4 pm at Bearcat Field.
