(LEBANON, Ill., April 13) – The McKendree University women's water polo team is set for two Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) matchups on Saturday in Erie, Penn. The Bearcats will play Gannon University at 10 a.m. EST, followed up by a contest against Mercyhurst University at 2 p.m. EST with both games played at Carneval Athletic Pavilion Pool.
 
The Bearcats are 8-12 overall on the season, after going 1-2 at home last weekend. McKendree fell to both Mercyhurst and Gannon last weekend, but look two rebound with two wins on Saturday. These two matchups are the Bearcat's final two games before heading to the WWPA Conference Championships hosted by the University of California – San Diego in La Jolla, Calif. on April 27-29.
 
Leading the Bearcats in scoring this season has been freshman attacker Emily Westlove with 52 goals, 10 assists, and 25 steals. Just behind Westlove is senior attacker Sabrina Sherrin with 39 goals, and sophomore attacker Brianna Mullalley with 36 goals. Senior goaltender Gabby Madewell and freshman goalie Crystal Armstrong have split time guarding the cage this season registering 149 saves on the year.
