McKendree enters the penultimate GLVC series of the regular season with an overall record of 7-31, while the Bearcats are 2-13 in conference play. McKendree battled until the final pitch on Wednesday at Hypes Field against Lindenwood University before being edged by the Lions, 6-5. In their latest GLVC series a week ago, the Bearcats took one of four meetings at the University of Indianapolis as the Greyhounds managed a pair of one-run victories to open and close the weekend.

Over its last 11 games, McKendree has rapped out 101 hits. That includes 15 home runs in that 11-game stretch. In comparison, the Bearcats hit 18 home runs throughout the course of the 2017 season. Andrew Aydt leads the long ball brigade over the recent span with three round-trippers to go along with 10 RBI.

Entering the USI series, Matt Klosterman leads McKendree with a .317 average. Klosterman is also the Bearcats' leader with eight stolen bases. Aydt has taken over the team lead with five home runs and 22 RBI.

Following the series at Southern Indiana, McKendree will play its final six games of the 2018 regular season at Hypes Field. The Bearcats will host Rockhurst University for a non-conference doubleheader on Tuesday before playing its final GLVC series of 2018 Friday and Saturday against the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. Saturday will also mark Senior Day for the McKendree baseball program.
