(LEBANON, Ill., Sep. 15) – The McKendree University men's soccer team will continue Great Lakes Valley Conference play at home Sunday, September 16 at 2:30 p.m. against Lewis University.
 
The Bearcats enter the contest 3-1 overall and 1-0 in the GLVC after most recently defeating William Jewell College 1-0 in a game that included an 84^th minute game winner from senior captain Matthew Moran (Perryville, MO/Perryville High School). Forward James Stone (Eastbourne, England/Bede's Senior School) leads the McKendree offense with two goals, two assists and six points, while midfielder Eddie Davis (Arundel, England/Amersham College) has contributed three assists so far this season. Goalkeeper Alvaro Cortazar (Asuncion, Paraguay/Santa Teresa de Jesus) has recorded 13 saves in his three starts.
 
The Flyers currently sit at 1-1-3 overall and 0-0-1 in the GLVC after tying Truman State University 2-2 in double overtime on September 14.
