(SPRINGFIELD, MO., Sep 28) – The McKendree University men's soccer team defeated Drury University under the lights 2-1 in a match that required two overtime periods. Men's soccer now sits at 6-1-1 overall and 4-0-1 in GLVC play.

Ariel Cardozo (Ciudad del Este, Paraguay/Universidad San Carlos) found the back of the net off of an
Eddie Davis (Arundel, England/Amersham College) Assist. Drury's Joao Machado proved to be his team's temporary savior after scoring on a free kick opportunity with less than three minutes remaining in regulation. However, Drury found themselves ultimately at fault after suffering an own goal in the 108
th minute of play, securing a win for McKendree. In just over 108 minutes of play, the Bearcat defense fought valiantly as they faced a total of 12 total shots on behalf of the Panthers, while goalkeeper
