(KANSAS CITY, Mo., Oct. 11) – The McKendree women's soccer team was defeated by the Hawks of Rockhurst University 1-0 on the road this Friday afternoon. The Bearcats are now 8-2-1 overall and 6-1-1 in Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) play.
 
The lone goal of the match came in the 23^rd minute of play, and despite leading in shots 13 to seven, the Bearcats were unable to get one past the Hawks goalkeeper. Senior keeper Zoe Brochu (Ajax, Ontario, Canada/Pickering High School) made one save in the loss.
 
McKendree will be back in action this Sunday, October 13 as they remain on the road to take on the Cardinals of William Jewell College at noon in Liberty, Mo.
