(LIBERTY, Mo., Oct. 13) – The McKendree University men's soccer team dominated the Cardinals of William Jewell College 5-0 this Sunday afternoon. The Bearcats are now 8-1-2 overall and 7-0-2 in Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) play and are now on a seven-game win streak.
Though McKendree paced the entirety of the match, out-shooting the Cardinals 20 to one, McKendree first got on the board in the 33
rd minute of the match off a shot from sophomore
Diego Tapia-Fraites (Hong Kong/YMCA of Hong Kong Christian College), and would score once more right before the end of the first half in the 44

Throughout the weekend, McKendree scored eight cumulative goals while shutting-out both of their opponents.
The men's soccer program will be back in action this upcoming Friday, October 18 as they return to Lebanon to take fellow GLVC member Lewis University under the lights at 7:30 p.m. on Leemon Field.
