(NEW LONDON, Conn., Oct. 20) – The McKendree University men's water polo team finished Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) West region play with a 25-12 victory over Connecticut College on Sunday morning. The Bearcats have now totaled 69 goals over their last three goals while extending their win streak to five.
McKendree pushes their record to 8-9 overall and finish with a 5-1 record in MAWPC-West region play.

Joseph Mahan (Corinth, TX/John H Guyer High School) caught fire in the game, scoring seven goals in just three periods. Junior
Adrian Maher (Keller, TX/Keller High School) followed up with five goals himself. With three goals each, junior
Jesus Osorio (San Bernardino, CA/Cajon High School) and sophomore
Josh Carlson (New Lenox, IL/Lincoln Way West) helped lead the attack. Senior
Izaya Owotor (Portland, OR/David Douglas High School) and junior
Abraham Allen (Webster Groves, MO/Webster Groves High School) also netted multiple scores.

Osorio guided the offense with a game-high three assists. Krause, Allen, Mahan, Carlson, and Clue each added a single assist.
Brauer led the defense with four takeaways.
The Bearcats will be back at it on Oct. 26-27 when they travel to Salem, WV for the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division-II Championships.
