(Springfield, Mo., Oct. 4) – The McKendree women's soccer continues their win streak and remains undefeated in Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) play after besting the Panthers of Drury University this Friday evening.
 
The Bearcats scored the first and only goal in the 55^th minute of play as sophomore midfielder Emma Knoebel (Maryville, IL/Collinsville High School) was able to make some space for herself and bury the ball past the Panther goalkeeper. Throughout the match, McKendree set the pace offensively, outshooting the Panthers 16 to two, although both teams had the same amount of shots on goal with two. Senior goalkeeper Zoe Brochu (Ajax, Ontario, Canada/Pickering High School) earned her fifth shutout on the year while making two saves in the winning effort.
 
The women's soccer team will be back in action this Sunday, October 6 as they travel to Bolivar, Mo. to take on the Bearcats of Southwest Baptist University in another GLVC matchup.
