(LEBANON, Ill., Nov. 13)--
The McKendree University women's basketball is on the road for a mid-week game at Upper Iowa University. The Bearcats and Peacocks will tangle at 6 p.m. in Fayette, Iowa.

McKendree is off to the program's first 2-0 start in its NCAA Division II era thanks to a pair of victories last weekend at the Prairie Stars Tip-Off Classic in Springfield, Ill. The Bearcats defeated Purdue University Northwest and Tiffin University to register its first two-game win streak to start a season since 2011-12. Jordan Heberg (Romeoville, IL/Plainfield North) averaged 17.5 points and five rebounds in the two victories, while Jenna Krause (Seymour, WI/Seymour) chipped in with 11.5 points and seven assists. Callie Pohlman (Appleton, WI/Appleton North) also averaged double figures for the weekend, putting up 10 PPG while dishing out 10 assists. 

In the two wins, McKendree held its opponents to just 36.5 percent shooting from the floor (42-of-115), which included an 18.6 percent clip (8-of-43) from beyond the arc. The Bearcats also held an 82-73 in rebounding last weekend.

Wednesday's game is the final game away from Lebanon to open the 2019-20 season for McKendree. The Bearcats will tip off their home schedule on Sunday, Nov. 17 with a visit from Missouri Southern State University. Game time is at 3 p.m.. 

ABOUT UPPER IOWA
The Peacocks are 0-2 following a pair of losses to open their 2019-20 in the Central Region Challenge held in Monticello, Ark. Upper Iowa lost by scores of 51-41 to the University of Arkansas at Monticello and 73-47 to Southern Arkansas University. Jessica Musgrave was the lone Peacock to average double figures for the weekend as she put up 12 PPG. Musgrave also led the team in rebounding at six per contest. Megan Peterson contributed seven points per game for the weekend. 

McKendree and Upper Iowa last met back on Nov. 14, 2018 in the Bearcats' home opener last season. McKendree cruised to a 74-47 win over the Peacocks. Four Bearcats scored in double figures in the win, led by Jordan Heberg (Romeoville, IL/Plainfield North) and Madison Hart (Oak Creek, WI/Oak Creek) with 12 points each. Sydney Diekhoff (Pekin, IL/Pekin Community) and Jenna Krause (Seymour, WI/Seymour) each added 10 points while Callie Pohlman (Appleton, WI/Appleton North) recorded a game-high four steals.
