(LEBANON, Ill., Nov. 19)—
The McKendree University men's basketball team will return to non-conference action Saturday when the Bearcats play host to Principia College. Tip-off is slated for 3 p.m. at the Harry M. Statham Sports Center in Lebanon.

The Bearcats moved to 2-2 on the season thanks to an 89-34 win Tuesday at home over Westminster College. McKendree set the program's NCAA Division II era mark for fewest points allowed thanks to a swarming defensive effort in the second half for the Blue Jays. The Bearcats limited Westminster to just 14.3 percent shooting (4-of-28) and posted a 50-10 scoring edge in the final 20 minutes of play.

Oliver Stephen (Edwardsville, IL/Edwardsville) led the scoring charge for McKendree with 21 points, hitting 6-of-8 shots from three-point range. Bryson Bultman (Nashville, IL/Nashville) posted a double-double with 14 points and a game-high 17 rebounds to go along with six assists to lead all players. Logan Kohrmann (Bartelso, IL/Breese Central) (13 points) and Aleksa Popovic (Belgrade, Serbia/BC Partizan Belgrade) (11 points) also reached double figures in the scoring column as Kohrmann chipped in with nine rebounds.

Four Bearcats are averaging in double figures, led by Stephen at 17.3 PPG. He is also shooting 53.3 percent from the field, including a 52.6 percent clip from beyond the arc. Bultman rounds out the quartet at 10 PPG, while he leads McKendree in rebounding at 9.5 RPG and has dished out a team-best 15 assists.

After Saturday's game, McKendree will have 10 days off to prepare for its Great Lakes Valley Conference opener on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at home against the University of Southern Indiana. The contest will also close out the Bearcats' six-game home stand to open the year.

ABOUT PRINCIPIA
The Panthers are 1-4 overall this season. Principia won its first game of the season on Tuesday at home against Lincoln Christian University, 87-81. Trevaughn Goodman posted 34 points, 10 rebounds and five assists to show the way for the Panthers, while Clark Davidson chipped in with 16 points and 11 rebounds and Brennan Paulson came off the bench to score 14 points.
