(KENOSHA, Wis. – Dec. 9) – The McKendree University men's wrestling team wrapped up another week of tough competition at the 48
th Annual Jim Koch Wisconsin Open, hosted by University of Wisconsin-Parkside, Saturday afternoon. In the 22-team open, the Bearcats placed six wrestlers in the top-10 of their weight classes.
The Bearcats collectively had a 38-30 record with a 0.5588 winning percentage. They had five pins, one technical fall, six falls and 232 match points. Below are the individual results for the Bearcats:
College 125 bracket
Vincent Priante (Traverse City, MI/Traverse City West) was defeated in a major decision (Maj 10-2) by Zachary Collins of University of Findlay in the Consolation Round 3 match. Priante went 0-2 on the day.
College 133 bracket
Charles McNeal (Florissant, MO/Christian Brothers Catholic) placed third in a 6-2 decision over Jack Huffman of Augustana University in the 3
rd place match. McNeal went 3-1 on the day.
College 149 bracket
Eric Pettibone (Webster Groves, MO/Webster Groves) was defeated by fall (Fall 0:54) to Torry Early of University of Wisconsin-Parkside in the Consolation Round 3 match. Pettibone went 1-2 on the day.
Alex Fulton (O'Fallon, IL/O'Fallon ) was defeated by fall (Fall 1:08) to Caleb Conedera of Maryville University in the Consolation Round 2 match. Fulton went 0-2 on the day.
College 157 bracket
Nate Smalling (Belleville, Ill./Belleville West) placed sixth by medical forfeit to Tanner Sparks of Maryville University in the 5
th place match. Smalling went 2-3 on the day.
Josh Ramos (Plainfield, IL/Providence Catholic) was defeated in an 11-4 decision to Nathan Hensley of University of Wisconsin-Parkside in the Consolation Round 2 match. Ramos went 0-2 on the day.

Cory Peterson (Valmeyer, IL/De Smet) placed second in a 6-2 decision to Josh Otto of Wisconsin in the 1
st place match. Peterson went 3-1 on the day.
Qian'te Wagner (Alton, Ill./Alton) placed fourth in a 12-10 decision to Tyler Harrington of Maryville University in the 3
rd place match. Wagner went 2-2 on the day.
College 184 bracket
Jacob Anderson (Anchorage, AK/South Anchorage) placed fourth in an 8-1 decision to Bailey Kelly of Maryville University in the 3
rd place match. Anderson went 3-2 on the day.
Michael Aldrich (Ballwin, MO/Parkway South) was defeated by major decision (Maj 13-5) to Ryan Herman of Maryville University in the Consolation Round 3 match. Aldrich went 2-2 on the day.
Kevin Zange (Woodstock, IL/Woodstock) was defeated in a 7-0 decision to Ryan Herman of Maryville University in the Consolation Round 2 match. Zange went 0-2 on the day.

Caleb Gossett (St. Charles, MO/Francis Howell Central) placed third in a major decision (Maj 8-0) over Caleb Carpenter of University of Findlay in the 3
rd place match. Gossett went 4-1 on the day.

The next time the Bearcats will take the mat is for a two-day event hosted by the University of Indianapolis. The 41
st Annual Midwest Classic will take place Dec. 14-15 in Indianapolis, Ind., starting at 10:00 A.M. (ET) in Nicoson Hall.
