(LEBANON, Ill., Mar. 21) – The McKendree University women's lacrosse team will play host to a pair of Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) matchups against Northern Michigan this Friday, March 22 and Concordia-St. Paul this Sunday, March 24.
The Bearcats are currently 2-3 overall and 1-1 in GLIAC play. Offensively, McKendree is led by senior attacker
Emily Nelson (Deephaven, MN/Holy Family Catholic) and her 17 points on the season, followed by sophomore midfielder
Rylee Skachenko (Oceanside, CA/Carlsbad) and freshman attacker
Kathryn Albrecht (Louisville, KY/Eastern High School) who have accumulated 15 points and 12 points, respectively. Defensively, senior midfielder
Hannah Sugarman (Holden, MA/Wachusett Regional) leads the Bearcats in groundballs with 24 as well as in caused turnovers with 13.
Northern Michigan is currently 1-5 on the season and 0-2 in conference play, dropping their most recent game to Grand Valley State 21-8. The matchup against the Wildcats will begin at 4 p.m. on Leemon field.
The Golden Bears of Concordia-St. Paul are currently 4-3 on the year and 1-1 in the GLIAC, most recently defeating Davenport 12-9 on March 17. The game against the Golden Bears will begin at Noon this Sunday.
