(LEBANON, Ill., April 23)--The McKendree University baseball team will play its next five games on the road over the next week, beginning with non-conference contests Tuesday night at Southeast Missouri State University and Wednesday at Lindenwood University. First pitch for both games will be at 6 p.m.

Three Bearcats enter the week hitting above .300 this season. Bryce Emery (Harrisburg, IL/Harrisburg) leads the group at .348, followed by Hayden Schaefer (O'Fallon, IL/O'Fallon) at .312. Matt Klosterman (Belleville, IL/Belleville West) rounds out the trio with a .308 mark, as Klosterman also leads McKendree with nine stolen bases on the year. Drew Reich (Charlestown, IN/Charlestown) paces the squad with nine home runs and 23 RBI. Reich has also scored a team-leading 25 runs. Andrew Aydt (Wildwood, MO/Eureka), who is second on the team with five round-trippers, has drawn a team-high 22 walks. 

Following the single games against SEMO and Lindenwood, McKendree will head to Kansas City for a three-game weekend series against Rockhurst University. The Great Lakes Valley Conference foes will play a doubleheader on Saturday before closing out the weekend with a nine-inning affair on Sunday. 

The five games this week mark the final road contests for the Bearcats in 2019. McKendree will play its final four games of the regular season next week at Hypes Field as Lindenwood visits for an afternoon game on May 1 before Drury University provides the final GLVC games for the Bearcats May 3-4. 

ABOUT SOUTHEAST MISSOURI STATE
The Redhawks are 18-23 overall and 7-14 as members of the Ohio Valley Conference. SEMO hosted Saint Louis University Monday evening and posted an 8-4 victory. 

Tyler Wilber is the Redhawks' leading hitter this season at .399. Wilber has also registered a team-best 16 doubles and 33 runs batted in while starting every game this season. Austin Blazevic has hit a team-leading three homers for Southeast Missouri State, while Connor Basler has stolen 17 bases on the year. 

McKendree and SEMO met last season on April 10 in Cape Girardeau, with the host Redhawks posting a 15-0 win. 

ABOUT LINDENWOOD
The Lions bring a 22-20 overall record and 15-12 Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association mark into Wednesday's contest with McKendree. Lindenwood took two of three games from Southwest Baptist University over the weekend. 

Four regulars in the Lindenwood lineup are hitting above the .300 mark, led by D.J. Miller at .366. Bryce Beckmann is next at .359 while leading the Lions with 17 steals on 18 attempts. Neil Fischer leads the team with five home runs and 38 RBI

Lindenwood took both 2018 meetings against McKendree. The Lions grabbed a 14-4 victory in St. Charles on April 11, 2018 before edging the Bearcats 6-5 just two weeks later on April 25, 2018 at Hypes Field.
