(LEBANON, Ill., Apr. 29) - The McKendree University women's lacrosse team, fresh off a 19-1 victory over the Saints of Maryville this past Sunday April 28 will be hosting the first round of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (GLIAC) tournament and will face off against the Wildcats of Northern Michigan this Tuesday, April 30 on Leemon Field. The Bearcats enter the postseason boasting a 10-6 overall record and a 9-3 record against GLIAC opponents this season.
During the 2019 season, the Bearcats have been led by senior attacker 
Emily Nelson (Deephaven, MN/Holy Family Catholic), who leads the team in points (82), assists (43) and draw control wins (113). Freshman attacker 
Kathryn Albrecht (Louisville, KY/Eastern High School) has also had a stellar season, ranking second of all Bearcats in points (75) and assists (36), while senior midfielder 
Hannah Sugarman (Holden, MA/Wachusett Regional) leads all Bearcats in goals (42), ground balls (77) and caused turnovers (51).
This will mark the second time Northern Michigan will be visiting Leemon Field this season, after McKendree up-ended the Wildcats by a score of 22-3 on March 22.
