(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., May 2) - The McKendree University women's lacrosse team is on the road as they head up to Key Stadium on the campus of the University of Indianapolis to square off against No. 21 Grand Valley State University in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament semifinals this Friday, May 3 at 6 PM CST. The Bearcats, fresh off a four game winning streak, enter Friday's contest with a 11-6 overall record as well as a 9-3 GLIAC showing.
The Bearcats have been led this season by the likes of Seniors
Hannah Sugarman (Holden, MA/Wachusett Regional) and
Emily Nelson (Deephaven, MN/Holy Family Catholic), who combined have amassed 90 goals and 143 points. Also leading the pack is freshman attacker
Kathryn Albrecht (Louisville, KY/Eastern High School), who is second on the team in goals, assists, and points with 45, 41, and 86, respectively.
The No. 21 Lakers enter Friday's playoff matchup with a 13-3 overall record and a 10-1 GLIAC record. A rematch of last year's semifinal that saw the Bearcats victorious, Friday's game will be available via live-stats
