LEBANON, Ill. - McKendree University women's soccer win its fifth-straight match via another late score, this time on a two-pronged attack from senior forward
Morgan Cervera, who recorded the assist, and sophomore midfielder
Anna Stiffler, who collected her third game-winner this year. The Bearcats will look to further extend the streak on Sunday against Rockhurst.
The Bearcats rallied late in the match, coming back from a 1-0 deficit with a tying goal in the 59th minute and the winning score in the 89th minute. The Bearcats of Southwest Baptist struck first with a goal in the 51st minute to take the lead.
The sophomore Stiffler added her third game-winner in the victory, tallying the winning goal behind a pass from Cervera. Stiffler threatened throughout the match with six total shots, which matched Cervera. Stiffler also added an assist on the first McKendree goal, dishing it off to junior defender
Morgan Bova, who in turn sent the ball long into the 18-yard box. The goal marked the midfielder's fifth of the season while her dish-out was her fourth of the year, both of which lead the Bearcats.

Reagan Mauch collected her third goal, which was the equalizer in the match in the 59th minute of play. Mauch's header score was off a deep pass from Bova, which Mauch positioned for the essential score.

Mercedes King, who recorded her fifth win on the season, got a hand on the singular goal by the Bearcats of SBU but the shot found the net still.
NOTES:
McKendree earned its fifth-straight win in the 2-1 victory over SBU. THe streak dates back to a win over Quincy on September 24.
Sophomore midfielder
Anna Stiffler recorded a fifth goal this season with her game-winning score over the SBU Bearcats. Stiffler also dished-out an assist in the win and leads the Bearcats in both categories. SHe nows owns a team-leading 14 points with five goals and four assists.

Reagan Mauch fired her third goal of the year with a header in the 59th minute to tie the match at one goal a piece. Mauch's goal was assisted on by Stiffler (4) and Bova (1).
The Bearcats of McKendree owned the offensive half with 32 (11) shots total compared to 4 (3) by SBU, as well as 11 corner kicks versus three.
