MARSHALL, Mo. - McKendree University women's wrestling brought home three top-finishers at the Missouri Valley Open over the weekend with sophomore Cameron Guerin, junior Alara Boyd, and freshman Jaycee Foeller, each bringing home a first place finish. 

130-lb. Class
Guerin, a native of Yakima, Washington, began her outing with three tech fall victories, winning 10-0 in each matchup. Her first win came against Isabelle Gonzalez of Grand View, her second over Yele Aycock of North Central, while her third was versus Niye Ter Gaines of North Central. The final two wins, which clinched the top finish for the sophomore, were over Trinity Speredon (Menlo College) and Phoenix Dubose (King). Guerin went 5-0 on her way to the 1st place finish. 

155-lb. Class
The Yorktown-product, Boyd, started off her bracket with a bang, pinning her opponent, Irene Sanchez Figu (Oklahoma City), at the 1:30 mark of the match. Boyd then went on to record three-straight tech fall wins. The Muncie, Indiana-native beat Life Uinversity's Emma Burk 12-2, King's Viktorya Torres 10-0, and Taylor Hites of Tiffin 10-0, to advance to the first-place match. In the final match in the class, Boyd faced her teammate, senior Kayla Marano. Boyd went on to earn a 7-0 decision over Marano. The Bearcats took the top two placements in the 155-lb bracket. 

The senior Marano went all the way to the first-place contest with two victories via pin, one by tech fall and a 9-0 decision to take on Boyd. Marano opened her tournament with a pin at the 1:50 mark over Sarina Bertram of William Jewell and followed it up with a 10-0 tech fall win against Josette Partney (Missouri Baptist). The third match for the senior was also a win by pin at the 2:13 mark over Destinee Rivera of Life University and then beat Aurum Naylor (unattached) by decision. 

170-lb. Class
Senior Joye Levendusky earned a second-place finish behind a 4-1 record over the weekend with three tech fall wins and one decision victory prior to dropping the first-place match. Her three tech fall victories came against Midland's Jasmin Ballesteros (10-0), Cassandra Smith of Campbellsville (10-0), and Bailey Dennis of Southern Oregon (12-0). The sole decision for the senior Levendusky was an 8-2 victory over Grand View's Abby McIntyre. Levendusky dropped the first-place match via tech fall to Yelena Makoyed of North Central. 

191-lb Class
The freshman Foeller collected her first top-placement as a Bearcat, recording four tech fall victories and one decision. The De Soto-product opened the tournament with two 10-0 wins over Natalia Villegas (Grand View) and Karrah Smith (Southern Oregon). Her third match came down to a decision victory of 12-6 over Liliana Vergara of Campbellsville. Foeller then capped off her weekend with another pair of tech fall wins, beating Olivia Brown of Grand View and then Nia Crosdale of King to clinch the top finish. The freshman went 5-0 to earn the first place title.
