(LEBANON, Ill. – Feb. 15) – The McKendree University men's basketball team has three days of competition coming up this week. The Bearcats will host the University of Illinois-Springfield on Tuesday, Feb. 16. They will then hit the road to Maryville on Thursday, Feb. 18. They will end their week at Lindenwood on Saturday, Feb. 20.

Chris Foster's team is coming off a huge win over Missouri S&T, 77-68, Saturday evening. McKendree opened up their senior day with a nine-point lead within the first 10 minutes of the game. The Bearcats and the Miners would trade scoring runs, but it was solid free throw shooting that secured the win for the home team. McKendree is entering this week with a 7-6 (7-6 in GLVC) record. They are averaging 45.5 percent from the floor, 38.2 percent from beyond the arc, and 74.1 percent from the free throw line, all with a 0.7 point margin over their opponent.

About University of Illinois-Springfield (UIS)
UIS is entering this week on a three-game losing streak, after dropping 68-73 to William Jewell on Saturday afternoon. The Prairie Stars' slow start could not be overcome, and advanced to 7-10 (7-10 in GLVC). They are averaging 2.0 points behind their opponent this season, with a field goal percentage of 46.1, a three-point percentage of 35.2, and a free throw percentage of 75.6. In the previous meeting between McKendree and UIS on Jan. 21, the 23-point win went to the home team.

About Maryville University
Maryville is coming off a disappoint loss to Lindenwood Thursday night, where their two-game winning streak was snapped. The Saints are now 7-10 (7-10 in GLVC) heading into this week. The Saints traded baskets with the Lions before going in a 5-0 run, then regaining a two-point lead with under 12 minutes left in the game. The Saint's last push for redemption, landed them a three-pointer and two free throws, and a final deficit of seven. Maryville is averaging 42.8 percent from the field, 35.2 percent from the arc, and 75.7 percent from the line, all with a 4.5 point margin behind their opponent.

About Lindenwood University
Lindenwood is coming off an 83-69 victory over Maryville Thursday night, and improving to 9-8 (9-8 in GLVC). The Lions used a long ball to stop the Saints, and went 6-for-6 in the final minute of play to take home their second-straight victory. The Lions are averaging a 1.0 point margin over their opponent this season, while going 43.4 percent from the field, 32.0 percent from beyond the arc, and 79.9 percent from the free throw line.
