(Saint Louis, MO-Feb 18)- The McKendree University women's basketball team fell to Maryville Thursday night by a score of 87-84. McKendree is now 8-12 on the season.

The Bearcats shot efficiently from the field to start the contest, shooting 56.3 percent from the field on 9-of-16 from the field and 60 percent from deep on 3-of-5 attempts. The Bearcats continued their efficient play and closed the gap in the second quarter, connecting on 61.1 percent of their field goals attempts on 11-of-18 from the field. Junior guard

Lauren Stolzman (Husdon, WI/Hudson) drained a jumper with three seconds left in the quarter. Throughout the fourth quarter, the Bearcats continued to fight with a pair threes in the last 30 seconds by Diekhoff and junior guard
