The No.6 McKendree University men's volleyball team will host its Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA) rival No.5 Lewis University to complete their two-game series. The Bearcat and Flyers will take the court in the Harry M. Statham Sports Center at 7:00 PM on Friday, Mar. 12.
Nickie Sanlin's team is the lone undefeated team in the MIVA, heading into this week at 7-0 (8-0 in MIVA).
Lucas Galifos (Mokena,IL/Lincoln Way East) is leading the conference in blocks per set (1.36), while
Francisco Comas (Naperville, IL/Neuqua Valley) is third in the conference in digs per set (2.32) and fourth in digs this season (65).
Patrick Ross (Anthem, AZ/Boulder Creek) sits fourth in the conference with service aces per set (.044) while
Zach Schnittker (Arlington Heights, IL/Buffalo Grove) is fifth in the conference (0.39).
Ryan Serrano (Phoenix, AZ/Boulder Creek) is fifth in the conference for assists per set (9.64). The Bearcats pulled an upset 3-1 set win over their highest-ranked opponent No.5 Lewis on Feb. 26.

Lewis improved to 10-2 (5-2 in MIVA) after a two-game sweep over Ball State University this past weekend. Friday night's matchup was close betweenthe Flyers and the Cardinals, but a .352 hitting percentage and 9.5 blocks worked in favor for the Flyers.
