The Great Lakes Valley Conference has announced that junior midfielder Oriana Johnson (Monticello, MN/Monticello) has been tabbed GLVC Defensive Player of the Week.

This marks the first time Johnson has earned Defensive Player of the Week honors as well as the second consecutive week a Bearcat has earned Defensive Player of the Week, after senior Jess Morey (Loveland, OH/Loveland) earned the same honors last week.

Johnson played a large part in the Bearcats come from behind win in overtime against the Rockhurst Hawks on Sunday.

Johnson forced the Hawks to commit four turnovers, two in each half of regulation, as well pick up four ground balls.

On the offensive end, Johnson scored a goal in the first half and picked up an assist.

Johnson and the Bearcats return to action on March 28^th when they welcome to Maryville University to Leemon Field for a 6 p.m contest.
