The McKendree University men's soccer team loses in overtime against Drury 3-2 on Friday at Leemon Field.
How It Happened
The Bearcats came right out the gate with a goal from
James Stone, assisted by Michael Hodgeson at the 3
rdminute of the first half. The Panthers would respond with a goal of their own at the 39
th minute of the first half.
In the second half,
Rulo Arteaga would put the Bearcats back on top with a goal at the 73
rd minute of the second half. The goal was assisted by
Eddie Davis.
The Panthers would not go down without a fight and added a late goal at the 81
st minute to tie the game. In overtime, the Panthers would secure the win with a goal with under a minute to play in the overtime period.
With the loss, McKendree falls to 3-4-2 on the season.

The Bearcats had 11 shots on the day, six of those shots would be on goal. The Panthers had 20 shots, 10 of those shots would be on goal.
Brett Niedzwiecki would start in net for the Bearcats for the first time this season. He had seven saves and gave up three goals.
