The No.12 McKendree University men's volleyball team will host its final regular-season matchup with Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA) rival Ball State University. The Bearcats and Cardinals will take the court at 7:30 PM on Friday, Apr. 2, and then 7:00 PM on Saturday, Apr. 3, in the Harry M. Statham Sports Center.
Nickie Sanlin's team snapped a four-game losing streak after splitting a two-game series with Purdue Fort Wayne this past weekend. The Bearcats were swept 3-0 in a hard-fought game Saturday evening that went into extra points.
Patrick Ross and
Lucas Galifos would record season-highs to help their team to a 3-0 sweep over the Mastodons, Sunday afternoon. Ross matched his season-high 16 kills, while Galifos set a new season-high 11 blocks. The Bearcats are heading into the weekend with 11.6 kills per set with a .272 hitting percentage and leading their opponents with 3.0 blocks per set.

Ball State heads into their final matchup with a 10-6 (7-5 in MIVA) overall record. Ball State was defeated in four sets by No.10 Loyola Chicago. Loyola took the first two sets narrowly, before the Cardinals came back to take the third set. The final set was neck-and-neck before Loyola sealed the 25-23 set win.
