Coaches Quote
Â
"I'm not happy with a tie, I'm never happy with a tie, but this is one of the hardest places to play college soccer in the entire country," McKendree head coach
Scott Gyllenborg said. "It's a very tough field against a team that suits that field. It was a very physical game that offered us challenges that we didn't see against UIndy and Lewis, and in the first half we weren't up for the challenge. Why? I'm not quite sure, we prepared for it, nothing surprised us, but we were not up for the challenge."
Â
"Second half and overtime, we showed exactly what we're capable of, physically, technically, and tactically. You don't get to waste 45 minutes and come out with the win in this league. But only if we learn from this tie, it can be a positive outcome."
