The No.12 McKendree University men's volleyball team will head north to face second-seeded No.10 Loyola University Chicago for the semifinals of the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA) Tournament. The Bearcats and Ramblers will take the court at 5:00 PM on Saturday, Apr. 17, in the Alfie Norville Practice Facility.
Nickie Sanlin's team took down Purdue Fort Wayne Saturday night in the first round of the MIVA Tournament. In the 3-2 win for the Bearcats, four men recorded new season and career-highs.
Francisco Comas with 21 digs,
Zach Schnittker with 14 digs, and
Ryan Serrano with 56 assists.
No.12 McKendree enters this round at 11-5 (9-5 in MIVA) with a .265 hitting percentage with an average 11.7 kills per set, and No.2 in the NCAA Division II for 2.9 blocks per set.
Lucas Galifos continues to lead the MIVA in blocks per set and now leads the NCAA Division II individual standings with 1.534 blocks per set.
