The McKendree University women's track & field team opened the season at the Bearcat Classic on Friday in Lebanon, Ill.
This was the Bearcats only home meet of the season.
Results
A'Ja Naden placed first in the 100 meter-dash at 12.38 seconds.
Kayla Tirey placed first in the 5,000-meter run at 19:38.
The women's 4 by 100-meter team placed second at 48.43 seconds.
Auden placed second in the 100-meter dash at 12.27 seconds
Ndia Johnson placed second in the hammer throw at 138 feet 4 inches.
Mya Watson-Blake placed third in the long jump at 17 feet 2 ¼ inches.
Koran El-Mason placed third in the triple-jump.
Azlynn Sherrod-Butler placed third in the 100-meter hurdles at 15.01 seconds.
Madelyn Daiber placed fourth in the shot put at 39 feet 8 ¾ inches.
Madelyn Tepe and Tirey placed fifth and sixth in the women's 1500 at 4:59 and 5:02. Both times were personal records for Tepe and Tirey.

"It was a good day today. It was great to open the outdoor season competition at home. It was good to put the skills that we practice every day at competition level, the intensity and effort from every athlete was at the highest levels," head coach Agne Eggert said.
