BOLIVAR, Mo. – McKendree' women's track and field team battled at the GLVC Championship to round out the 2026 outdoor season. Five Bearcats earned podium finishes, and three other Bearcats earned top five finishes in various events. Five Bearcats also earned All-Conference honors.
In the 100m,
Shinelle Jhagroo-Bryan finished fifth with a time of 11.82.
Two Bearcats made up the top two of the 400m.
Mickayla Sutherland grabbed first, earning a gold medal, with a GLVC record time of 53.80, followed by
Alaina Spence placing second, earning a silver medal, with a personal best time of 54.79. These top-three finishes earned Sutherland and Spence both All-Conference honors.
Kamoy Cole grabbed third, earning a bronze medal, in the 100 hurdles with a time of 14.17. This top-three finish earned Cole an All-Conference honor.
In the 4x100 relay,
Adonya Taylor,
Divine Favour Ozomma, Sutherland, and Jhagroo-Bryan finished fourth with a time of 46.75.
The squad composed of Taylor, Spence, Ozomma, and Sutherland grabbed a third palce finish, earning a broze medal, in the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:47.99. This top-three finish earned Taylor and Ozomma both All-Conference honors.
Jhagroo-Bryan also grabbed a fourth place finish in the long jump with a mark of 5.79m.
Taylor earned another bronze medal after placing third in the triple jump with a mark of 11.80m.
Mariah Creamer was named as one of 14 athletes to earn the GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmahship honor.
McKendree finished placing fifth overall as a team, tallying 50 total points.
