GREENVILLE, Ill. – McKendree's women's track and field team battles at the Greenville Select Meet hosted by Greenville University, taking seven finishes within the top five in various events.
In the 100m,
Shinelle Jhagroo-Bryan finished second with a time of 11.94.
Adonya Taylor grabbed fifth in the 200m with a time of 25.65.
Divine Favour Ozomma followed with a sixth place finish with a time of 25.74.
Mickayla Sutherland notched first place in the 400m with a personal best time of 54.58.
Alaina Spence followed, finishing fourth with a time of 55.68.
In the 800m,
Mariah Creamer finished ninth with a time of 2:22.37.
Sophia Paschal finished tenth in the 1500m with a time of 5:06.45.
Sara Belloso grabbed a second place finish in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:06.17.
The Bearcats' squad A placed second in the 4 x 100 relay with a time of 46.96. The squad was composed of Sutherland, Ozomma, Jhagroo-Bryan, and
Kamoy Cole.
In the 4 x 400 relay, McKendree's squad A, composed of Taylor, Ozomma, Creamer, and Belloso, also finished second with a time of 3:56.96.
Paula Niubo finished T-eighth in the high jump with a mark of 1.33m. Niubo also grabbed a second place finish in the long jump with a mark of 5.38m.
