The McKendree University baseball team fell to 13-19 after being defeated in both ends of Sundays double header, with game one ending with a score of 1-5 and game two ending 2-13.

Logan Boente took the mound for the Bearcats in game one held the Greyhounds hitless through the first three innings, including striking out the side in the third inning, but would give up a solo home run in the fourth inning.

Ryan Hutchinson, who was batting second for the first time this year, would answer in the sixth inning with his sixth home run of the year to tie the game at 1-1. The Greyhounds would tag the Bearcats up for four runs in the home half of the sixth inning to go up 5-1.

The Greyhounds got to the Bearcats early and put four runs on the board in the first two innings. Hutchinson would come through in the third inning to get the Bearcats on the board with his 30^th RBI of the year, and JP Kehoe would contribute an RBI in the fifth inning but Bearcats did not have an answer for the Greyhound offensive, who would put up nine runs in the final two innings.

In game two, Evan Spears drew the start and pitched five innings and surrendered five runs on eight hits.

The Bearcats hit the road for one final time in the 2021 season when they travel to St. Louis, MO for a four game weekend series against the University of Missouri, St Louis with the first game scheduled for April 30^th at 2 pm.
