McKendree University sophomore Phasin Vichitcharoenpaisarn will be the second athlete in men's golf program history to take the green at the NCAA Central/ Midwest Regional Tournament. The tournament will be held at the Shoal Creek Golf Club in Kansas City, Mo., May 6-8.

The NCAA Division II Men's Golf Regional Tournaments will be conducted at four regional sites, featuring 64 teams and 24 student-athletes competing as individuals. William Jewell College and the Kansas City Sports Commission are the host of this year's Central/ Midwest Regional.

The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) schools participating in this year's tournament include University of Indianapolis, University of Missouri-St. Louis, and Maryville, along with one individual from Missouri S&T and McKendree University's Phasin Vichitcharoenpaisarn.

Vichitcharoenpaisarn is just the second athlete in men's program history to make the Regional Tournament. At the 2021 GLVC Men's Golf Championship, he finished T-25 with a final score of 231 (72, 78, 81) and helped his team to a fifth overall finish.

The top-4 teams and the top individual not with a team from each regional tournament will advance to the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship. The finals are scheduled for May 17-21 at the PGA National Resort, The Champion Course in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., hosted by Palm Beach Atlantic University and Palm Beach County Sports Commission.
