LEBANON, Ill. - McKendree University Men's Basketball has announced that due to health and safety protocols within the University of Indianapolis men's basketball program its home Great Lakes Valley Conference game scheduled for Thursday with the Greyhounds at the Harry M. Statham Sports Center has been canceled.

The game will be considered a no-contest by the NCAA. According to GLVC policy, the game will not be made up at this present time and will be considered a "no contest" for league standing purposes per the GLVC Resocialization of Competition document.

Wednesday's cancellation of the men's game does not affect the women's game scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 13 with the UIndy women as that game will be played as scheduled and will tip-off at 5:30 p.m. inside the Statham Sports Center on the McKendree campus. 

With the cancellation Thursday's game with UIndy, the Bearcats, who are 6-4 overall and 2-4 in the GLVC, will now return to action on Saturday, Jan. 15 as the Bearcats travel to Romeoville, Ill., for a 3 p.m. GLVC contest against Lewis University. The game will be the second this season between the two schools as the Flyers earned a 78-62 win over the Bearcats in Lebanon on Dec. 4.
