ARLINGTON, Texas – The McKendree University women's bowling team will continue its 2021-22 season here this weekend as they compete in the 11th-Annual Prairie View A&M Invitational held at the International Training and Research Center (IRTC) from Jan. 28-30.
McKendree is one 12 teams competing in this weekend's event hosted by Prairie View A&M University and the tournament features 11 of the Top 20 ranked teams in the most recent NTCA poll. The No. 2 ranked Bearcats are joined this weekend by No. 1 ranked Sam Houston, No. 3 ranked Nebraska, No. 4 ranked North Carolina A&T, No. 5 ranked Vanderbilt, No. 6 ranked Arkansas State, No. 7 ranked Louisiana Tech, No. 8 ranked Youngstown State, No. 13 ranked Tulane, No. 15 ranked Fairleigh Dickinson and No. 19 ranked Sacred Heart. The only non-ranked team competing in Prairie View A&M.
This weekend's tournament begins on Friday, Jan. 28 at 12:15 p.m. with five Baker-style matches, before playing five traditional-style matches on Saturday, Jan. 29 starting at 9:25 a.m. and then concluding on Sunday, Jan. 30 at 8:25 p.m. with one final traditional match, before the best-of-seven Baker format for bracket play begins at 9:50 a.m.

McKendree took home the team title the last time it played in the Prairie View A&M Invitational in 2020 as they defeated Sam Houston, 4-2, in the championship match.
