LEBANON, Ill. - 12th-ranked McKendree University women's soccer (11-0-3, 7-0-2 GLVC) defeated Great Lakes Valley Conference-foe Missouri S&T (2-7-4, 2-5-2 GLVC), 1-0, on Friday night at Leemon Field, remaining unbeaten in its 2022 campaign. The Bearcats were led by junior forward
Anna Stiffler, who fired her 10th score of the season during the league contest. McKendree will be back at Leemon Field for its Sunday outing at Noon against Drury; senior day celebrations will take place at 11:25 AM for women's soccer.
McKendree earned a win, claiming its sixth in the last seven contests and collecting another three points, raising its season total to 23 in the GLVC. The Bearcats continue to remain as the sole overall unbeaten team in the Midwest Region with the victory as well.
McKendree dominated the ball throughout the game, firing 22 shots while sending 10 on-frame and earning four corners to S&T's zero. The Bearcats broke the 0-0 tie early with an eighth-minute goal by Stiffler, which came off a through-ball by junior midfielder
Katie Spotanski. Stiffler's goal marked a goal in seven of nine GLVC games this season and nine of 14 total games. Entering the weekend, the junior led the league in goals, points, game winner, goals per game, and points per game.
Stiffler's score was the lone goal of the matchup between the Miners and No.12 Bearcats.

Abby Tucker recorded her ninth shutout of the fall in the game while moving to 11-0-3 on the season in the net.
