LEBANON, Ill. - McKendree University men's soccer (5-4-6, 3-3-5 GLVC) played out its home finale to a draw against No.24 Maryvile (9-4-3, 8-1-3 GLVC), 1-1, on Friday night at Leemon Field. The Bearcats held a 1-0 lead until late in the game when the Saints gathered and scored to knot it up at one goal each. McKendree will seek to solidify postseason positioning in its regular season finale on Sunday at Missouri-St. Louis.

Stephan Stuebbe, marking Hynes' first collegiate score. It also was Stuebbe's first collegiate assist and helped put McKendree in control of the matchup very early on.
McKendree held the lead into the intermission period with a 1-0 advantage at the half.
The Bearcats continues to hold strong defensively during the second half while the Saints searched for an equalizer to even the contest.
The ice broke for the No.24 Saints in the 82nd minute with a goal following a corner kick, which rattled around in front of the net before getting knocked in.
Both teams fought for possession and a score over the remaining time but neither could fire the game-winner.
With the draw, Maryville clinched the regular season title in the GLVC while the Bearcats will continue their hunt for a sure-fire postseason berth.
