KANSAS CITY, Mo. - McKendree University men's soccer dropped its final contest of the weekend, 2-0, to Rockhurst at Bourke Field. The Bearcats were unable to find the back of the net in the outing but remain in the ranks for a conference tournament, as they sit seventh after Sunday. McKendree will return to Leemon Field for its next three games, taking on Missouri S&T, Drury, and Maryville.
Rockhurst took control of the game with a score in the 19th minute of action, leading 1-0 through the end of the first half. McKendree fired three shots in the first half while earning three corners.
In the second 45 minutes of play, McKendree sent four shots at the Hawks while getting two corner kicks. The Hawks added an insurance score on the 90th minute, winning the game 2-0 over the Bearcats.
