2022 Track Kat Klash - Women's Bowling
The No. 1 ranked Bearcats went 9-1 through the first two days of the Track Kat Klash to earn the No. 1 seed in Sunday's Championship Bracket Play.

Women's Bowling Goes 5-0 on Second Day of Track Kat Klash, Earns No. 1 Seed in Sunday's Championship Bracket Play

Gramly, Hagerman Finish in Top 5 of Individual Leaderboard

HOUSTON, Texas – The top-ranked McKendree University women's bowling team went 5-0 on Saturday's second day of the Track Kat Klash at the Emerald Bowl to improve to 9-1 overall through the first two days of the tournament to earn the No. 1 seed in Sunday's championship bracket play.

Entering Sunday's final day of competition, the Bearcats are tied with No. 7 North Carolina Central with the best record at 9-1, but the Bearcats sit atop the team leaderboard with a total pinfall of 10,554 and an average of 211.1 per game. After recording 5,266 pins in Friday's five Baker games, the Bearcats tallied a total of 5,288 pins in Saturday's traditional games.

In Saturday's five traditional games, the Bearcats opened the day with 1,056-871 win over Southern (La.) University, before earning a 1,108-820 win over Prairie View A&M and then posting a 1,022-897 win over Alabama State. In the fourth game, McKendree defeated No. 3 ranked Nebraska (1,054-942) and then capped traditional play with a 1,048-890 win over Texas Southern.

Two Bearcats finished Saturday's traditional games in the Top 5 of the individual standings as graduate student Hope Gramly (Prosper, Texas/Prosper) sits third with a total pinfall of 1,127 and averaged 225.40 per game, while senior Rebecca Hagerman (Loves Park, Ill./Harlem) is in fifth place with a total pinfall of 1,082 and an average of 216.40 per game.

Gramly recorded five games of 200 or better on the day with a high game of 254 against Prairie View A&M, while Hagerman had four games of 200 or better, including a high game of 248 against Alabama State.

In addition to Gramly and Hagerman, two other Bearcats are in the Top 20 of the individual leaderboard as senior Maranda Pattison (Redwood Valley, Calif./Ukiah Independent) sits 18th with a total pinfall of 1,033 and an average of 206.60. Pattison had four games of 200 or better, including a high game of 233 against Alabama State, while fifth-year senior Angelique Dalesandro (Rolling Meadows, Ill./Vanderbilt) record a pinfall of 1,031 to sit in 19th place. Dalesandro averaged 206.20 per game and had three games of 200 or better, including a high game of 245 against Southern (La.).

A fifth Bearcat – junior Isabel Allen (Tamworth, England/Polesworth High) sits in 22nd with a pinfall total of 1,015 as she averaged 203.00 per game and had three games of 200 or better, including a high of 223 pins against Nebraska.

McKendree will return to action on Sunday, Nov. 6 as they open Bracket play as the No. 1 seed and they will face No. 2 seeded North Carolina A&T with the winner automatically advancing to the championship match. The bracket play will feature a best four-out-of-seven Baker matches. The other two teams competing in the top half of the bracket are No. 3 seeded and fifth-ranked Sam Houston State and No. 4 seeded and 15th-ranked Maryville.

Sunday's bracket play will begin at 8:20 a.m.
