LEBANON, Ill. - McKendree University men's volleyball continues Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association on Wednesday, Feb. 16 as they travel to Quincy, Ill. as they matchup against the Hawks.
The Bearcats enter the match 4-4 on the season with a 1-1 record in MIVA after beating then ranked No. 12 Ohio State last Thursday, Feb. 10 at home before falling to then ranked No. 10 Ball State on Saturday, Feb. 12.
The Hawks enter the match 3-5 on the season and 0-2 in MIVA play after falling on the road to Loyola Chicago and Purdue Fort Wayne.

The Bearcats will be led by graduate student outside hitters Patrick Ross (Anthem, Ariz./Boulder Creek) and Ethan Carroll (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) as Ross leads the team with 95 kills and Carroll is second with 90 kills. The Bearcats average 11.93 kills per set led by Ross with 3.28 kills per set and Carroll with 3.10 kills per set. The Bearcats have recorded 40 or more kills in six of their eight matches.
Defensively the Bearcats are led by senior libero Francisco Comas (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) as he has 58 digs on the season. Ross is second with 50 digs while Carroll is third with 43 digs. Redshirt junior middle blocker Jacob Gall (Fairview Heights, Ill./Althoff Catholic) leads the team with his 27 total blocks (four solo, 23 block assists) as he is followed by Ross with 22 (two solo, 20 block assists) and redshirt senior middle blocker Tommy McGrath (Paradise Valley, Ariz./Brophy College Prep) has 20 (one solo, 19 block assists).

The Hawks are led by Nathan Lawton as he has 96 kills on the season for an average of 3.43 kills per set. Lawton is followed by Manuel Hernandez with his 52 kills for an average of 2.19 kills per set. The Hawks average 10.54 kills per set while recording 40 or more kills in four of their seven matches.
Defensively the Hawks are led by Lawton and Bryce Jones who have recorded 39 digs a piece this season. Cooper Coleman leads the Hawks with 18 blocks (three solo, 15 block assists) while Hernandez and Niall Burton have recorded 15 blocks (four solo, 11 block assists) a piece.
