LEBANON, Ill. – McKendree University Athletics has announced that Thursday's home Great Lakes Valley Conference basketball doubleheader with Lindenwood University at the Harry M. Statham Sports Center have been canceled and will not be made up this season.

The games were canceled thanks to a winter storm that brought heavy rain overnight to the Metro East area and is expected to bring a wintry mix of precipitation as the temperature drops below freezing this afternoon that will make travel hazardous.

With Thursday's cancellation, the Bearcats will now return to action this coming Saturday, Feb. 19 as the Bearcats host Maryville University for a doubleheader beginning with the women's game at 1 p.m., with the men's game to follow at 3 p.m.

Prior to the beginning of each game on Saturday, the Bearcats will honor their senior players in a pregame ceremony. Both the men's and women's teams have four seniors this year.
