LEBANON, Ill. - McKendree University men's volleyball prepares for the Lindenwood Invite this weekend. The 14th ranked Bearcats play Limestone University on Friday, March 11 at 4 p.m. at Hyland Arena on the campus of Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo. On Saturday, the Bearcats play Lincoln Memorial University at 2 p.m. at the Melvin Price Convocation Center.
The Bearcats enter the week 8-6 and 4-2 in Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association play. Limestone enters the week 12-4 while Lincoln Memorial is 9-5 and have lost five of their last six after starting out 8-0.
About McKendree
McKendree will be led by graduate student outside hitters Patrick Ross (Anthem, Ariz./Boulder Creek) and Ethan Carroll (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) as Ross has recorded 161 kills while Carroll has 173 kills. Three Bearcats have 10 or more serve aces on the season with Carroll having a team-high 12 aces, redshirt senior setter Ryan Serrano (Phoenix, Ariz./Boulder Creek) has 11 aces, and Ross has 10 aces on the season. Serrano has recorded 486 assists on the season.
Defensively, the Bearcats have three players with 80 or more digs on the season as senior libero Francisco Comas (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) has a team-high 102 digs. Serrano has 91 digs on the season and Ross has 82 digs for the season. Redshirt junior middle blocker Jacob Gall (Fairview Heights, Ill./Althoff Catholic) leads the team with 43 total blocks (five solo, 38 block assists).
About Limestone
Limestone will be led by Geraldo Rivera as he has 180 kills on the season. Veit Bils has 126 kills while Albert Warzocha has 124 kills on the season. Warzocha also has 23 aces while Paul Stommel has 22 aces on the season. Stommel also has 583 assists on the season for the Saints.
Defensively, the Saints are led by Rivera as he has a team-high 63 digs for the season. Jonathan Jacques has recorded 60 digs while Stommel has 59 digs on the season. Bils leads the Saints with 62 total blocks (five solo, 57 block assists).
About Lincoln Memorial
The Railsplitters will be led by Cole Campisano with his team-high 133 kills. Johansen Negron is second on the team with 103 kills. Kohl Kutsch has recorded 402 assists this season. Lincoln Memorial has three players with 10 or more aces as Negron has 16, Matthew Gentry has 12 and Justin Sharfenaker has 11.
Kutsch will lead the defense as he has a team-high 70 digs this season. Negron has recorded 46 digs while Attia Soliman has recorded 40 digs. Dawson Walker leads the team with 55 total blocks (nine solo, 46 block assists).

After this weekend, the Bearcats will play two matches against Lewis next week with the first match being on Thursday, March 17 at 7 p.m. at Lewis University in Romeoville, Ill. before hosting the Flyers on Saturday, March 19 at 5 p.m. at the MPCC.
