LEBANON, Ill. - McKendree University men's volleyball prepares for a home and home matchup against 12th-ranked Lewis University.
The Bearcats received three votes in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association after falling out of the Top 15 in the Division I-II poll.
The Bearcats enter the week 9-7 overall and 4-2 in Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association play while Lewis enters the week 10-8 and 2-4 in MIVA play.

The Bearcats offense will be led by graduate student outside hitters Patrick Ross (Anthem, Ariz./Boulder Creek) and Ethan Carroll (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) as both have 193 kills. The Bearcats also have four players with 10 or more serve aces as Ross leads the team with 13 while Carroll and freshman outside hitter Kevin Schuele (Aurora, Ill./Saint Francis) have 12 each and redshirt senior setter Ryan Serrano (Phoenix, Ariz./Boulder Creek) has 11.
Defensively, senior libero Francisco Comas (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) has 102 digs on the season while Serrano has 98 digs and Ross has 90 digs on the season. The Bearcats average 9.05 digs per set with six players averaging over one dig per set.
About Lewis
The Flyers offense is led by Tyler Mitchem as he has recorded 194 kills on the season while Cole Brillhart has 111 kills through 18 matches. Brillhart leads the Flyers with 21 serve aces while Mitchem and Kevin Kauling has 12 each. John Davis has 10 aces on the season.
Jason Gibbs leads the Flyers defense with 98 digs while Kauling has added 83 digs this season and Brillhart has 71 digs for the season. The Flyers average 8.50 digs per set.
