OAKLAND, Calif. – McKendree University women's water polo had nine student-athletes earned Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) All-Academic Team honors for their achievements in the classroom during the 2021-22 school year that were announced earlier this week by the ACWPC.
Nominees for the ACWPC All-Academic Team must achieve a 3.2 cumulative grade point average or higher during the 2021-22 academic year to be eligible for the award. Student-athletes are recognized at three levels – 3.2-3.4 (Excellent), 3.41-3.70 (Superior) and 3.71-4.0 (Outstanding).
McKendree had two players earn Outstanding All-Academic Team honors, while three earned Superior honors and four earned Excellent honors. Five of McKendree's nine selections are repeat honorees from last season.
Overall, a total of 753 women's water polo student-athletes received ACWPC All-Academic Team accolades for the 2021-22 school year.
