LEBANON, Ill. - No.14 McKendree University women's soccer (5-0-2, 1-0-1) is on the road for its second Great Lakes Valley Conference weekend, heading up to Quincy (1-3-3, 1-1-1) on Friday, September 23, and Illinois Springfield (3-3-2, 2-1-0) on Sunday, September 25. The Bearcats enter the weekend with a seven-game unbeaten streak, defeating Lewis and drawing with Indianapolis in its first conference weekend of the season.
THIS SEASON
McKendree rose in the latest United Soccer Coaches national poll for the third-straight week, rising to 14th in the country after entering the poll at No.16 two weeks ago. The Bearcats have outpaced its opponents so far this fall, firing 13 goals versus opposing attacks four goal total. McKendree has shot .426 on-frame over 16.4 shots per game while earning 38 corner kicks in the seven games in the 2022 campaign so far.
The attack has been led by junior forward
Anna Stiffler, who has fired four goals for eight points. Her eight points ranks second in the league while she ranks tied for third in points per game at 1.14, tied for second in total goals (4), goals per game (0.57), and first in game-winners (3). Fellow junior forward
Destiny Johnson is just behind Stiffler with six points via two goals and two assists, ranking tied for seventh in points and eighth in points per game (0.86). Eight Bearcats have scored goals this year with three multi-goal scorers in Stiffler, Johnson, and senior midfielder
Elizabeth Goldstein. 14 individuals have recorded at least one point via goal or assist as Stiffler (8), Johnson (6), and Goldstein (5), lead the team.

The Hawks enter the weekend after securing their first win of the season against Missouri S&T, 2-1. Quincy has been out-scored six to two by its opponents and scored its first goals of the fall in the win over the Miners. The Hawks have two scorers with one goal a piece in Jessica Felix and Ella Wolfard. Olivia Kindt has held goal for the majority of the season for Quincy, owning a 0.77 goals allowed average and a record of 0-3-3.
McKendree has won the last two matches over Quincy, including a 1-0 victory in 2021.

The Prairie Stars have won two of their first three GLVC games, beating UMSL 1-0 last weekend. UIS has been outscored 10 to nine over its eight games but feature three multi-goal scorers with Sierra Cenek leading with three goals and one assist for seven points. Ally Lassetter and Abby Dellamorte round out the multi-goal scorers with three and two goals.
